Today, the family is renowned as one of Melbourne’s leading event venue owner operators, recently acquiring Merrimu Receptions, adding it to the port folio in December 2005.

We celebrated our wedding reception in the Merrimu room last week and it was absolutely perfect! We knew from the minute we walked in the door to see this place that it was just what we were looking for. Such a beautiful room with a warm, cozy welcoming feel. Peter and Niki are both amazing. From our very first meeting with Peter we were blown away with how friendly, helpful and kind he is. Everything was planned and organized without any hassles and we always felt that we were important to them. The food was incredible and nobody left hungry! We want to say a BIG thank you to you and your staff. Michelle and Marc’s wedding on Saturday 1st March was a huge success. The food was amazing, the chef deserves high praise. We have been guests at Merrimu on a number of occasions and the food has always been great, this is one of the reasons we chose it to cater for our daughter’s special day! But the food on the night was exceptional and everyone agreed. General comment is that it was “the best wedding food they have ever had”, more like they would expect at high class restaurants. From the eye fillet and Moroccan chicken main course to the trio dessert and the fresh and ripe fruit platter.
